GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

It has come to my attention that Washington is now taking a public opinion poll on what the Washington State quarter design will look like. It comes down to three final designs.

I personally think that the first design looks like ass. I mean it's HORRIBLE: state outline, fish and apples all floating around in space, and the mountains aren't even in the right geographical spot! It gives the impression that Washington has an E-W mountain range, which is So Doesn't. Plus the state outline totally leaves out the San Juan Islands. D-

Design number two isn't that much better, although it does have Mt. Rainier, which I like, and a fish, which is coo. But I think overall it is BO-ring! Again, the fish the same size as a mountain...come on people, the back of the quarter is not the right place for a painting-like-composition It's a Coin, which is good for Small Pieces of Symbolism. C-

The third one actually kicks a little ass. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the design, but I totally dig the whale. Plus it reminds me of the cool animal Celtic-y designs they had on the backs of the Irish cents. Or the Owl they have on the back of the Greek Euro (to symbolize Athena, godess of wisdom)...actually when I look at it again the owl seems to be inexplicably hanging out with a pair of figs. A+

Unfortunately, he doesn't do any more ratings, or else I would encourage you to get us the WHALE QUARTER so that we could get and A+. I guess we'll just have to give it to ourselves. I've already voted 4 times today (It turns out you get more votes if you have Someone around who knows how to Disable Cookies).
